Role Description

ArcLight Cinemas is looking for a detail oriented, hands on, conscientious leader to partner with and oversee the work of the nightly janitorial crew while demonstrating a high level of care and compassion and striving for excellence by modeling behaviors and communicating job expectations to ensure that that the facility is cleaned in a timely manner to a standard in keeping with ArcLight’s Brand and which helps to deliver an excellent guest experience. 

Job Requirements:
•    At least 21 years of age
•    Ability to work nights, weekends, and all recognized holiday periods
•    Must have at least one year of previous supervisory experience in a challenging, fast-paced, environment
•    Excellent interpersonal skills
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Previous janitorial experience
•    Ability to learn quickly and exercise sound judgement
•    A sense of urgency
•    Strong time management skills
•    Able to demonstrate patience and possess strong training skills
•    Ability to maintain high standards

Duties include: 

•    Oversee nightly cleaning of a high volume movie theatre including multiple concession stands, kitchens, bars, auditoriums, hallways, stairs, escalators, and restrooms
•    Ensure that daily schedules and objectives are met in a timely manner
•    Conduct daily facility inspections to ensure that the building is cleaned to high standards and all safety procedures are properly followed
•    Extensive communication with janitorial crew, site management, Maintenance Tech, vendors, and home office personnel answering questions and explaining information
•    Supervise nightly janitorial crew
•    Ensure that all concerns are addressed in a timely manner
•    Safeguard that all chemicals are mixed and used in the correct manner and are properly stored
•    Assist in hiring new janitorial personnel
•    Evaluate janitorial crew and train new and experienced crew members
•    Clearly communicate team goals, direct cleaning procedures, and implement theatre and company personnel policies
•    Help to create a fun yet productive and safe work environment
•    Ensure that the theatre is in compliance with all laws and assign breaks as mandated by all local and federal laws
•    Investigate and address complaints about janitorial service
•    Order supplies, maintain records, and prepare reports as directed
•    Respond to radio calls promptly and professionally
