Role Description

Position Overview

The Boston Marketing Consultant will lead marketing efforts supporting the launch of a new ArcLight Cinemas in Boston, MA. This role requires a person that possesses extensive knowledge of, and proven experience with, the Boston market. This person must possess strong skills in marketing, communications and project management, and maintain strong relationships across a broad network in Boston.

The Consultant will direct, manage and implement marketing and communications efforts that support the opening of ArcLight Cinemas in Boston. In addition, this person will manage the pre-opening marketing for a bar concept attached to ArcLight Cinemas.  With a strong voice in strategic and experiential marketing planning, this person will play a key role in interpreting their knowledge of the Boston market into meaningful insights in order to: effectively launch ArcLight’s brand in Boston, grow and build ArcLight Cinemas’ position in the marketplace and establish relevance in the community. Through successful, strategic marketing, this role will support ArcLight Boston’s projected attendance and revenue goals.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to establish/grow ArcLight’s brand in Boston in collaboration with ArcLight’s Film & Marketing department
  • Set and execute a pre-opening marketing plan for the Bar (name TBD)
  • Develop and implement integrated marketing/communications plans that support ArcLight’s goals, including coordination and support of PR, Marketing, Strategic Partnerships, and Special Events
  • Direct, manage, and coordinate day-to-day activities of external experiential marketing/PR agency
  • In partnership with the agency, develop innovative, on-brand experiential marketing opportunities that will attract and build new audiences
  • Cultivate and manage external partnerships that will build awareness of the ArcLight brand locally, encourage trial, and drive attendance/revenue
  • Collaborate with agency and public partners to plan, organize, and execute special events before, during and after the site’s opening
  • Coordinate media, influencer and VIP site visits/tours of ArcLight Boston
  • Establish and track business objectives and KPIs to monitor success of marketing plans

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing
  • Possesses extensive knowledge of the Boston market and connected to a broad, diverse local network
  • Experience managing external vendors, including advertising and PR agencies
  • Experience building and stewarding strategic partnerships
  • Proven success with experiential marketing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work well in a team setting and collaborate across departments and teams, as well as the ability to work independently with clear roles and deliverables
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience required
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Travel as needed
