Role Description

The Line Cook is a business leader who brings the competence and experience necessary to provide the highest standards of service to ArcLight guests and maximize business results.  Reporting to the Executive Chef, Café Manager, Sous Chef (If applicable) or any member of the Leadership Team, this person will show business excellence and professional discipline in a team environment and undertake personal development.  

 

Performance Expectations

  1. Provide excellent service to our guests in the ArcLight Café
  2. Maintain strong communication with kitchen staff and servers
  3. Demonstrate good judgement in what food items need to be made again before serving to our guests
  4. Assist the front of house operations with any requests after the food leaves the kitchen
  5. Cook all food items to the proper temperature and in a timely manner
  6. Manage all ticket times and involve the manager on duty as needed
  7. Keep kitchen area clean and wiped down at all times
  8. Refill/stock food in a timely manner for the next shift or day

 

Necessary Experience / Success Patterns: 

  1. Must Have knife skills and know how to use kitchen equipment (mixer, slicer, food processor etc.)
  2. Be able to work the grill, sautee, fryer, pantry and dish stations and be willing to learn to master these work stations.  The dish station is part of the kitchen and will be required to maintain, assist and support when scheduled or needed
  3. Be able to read ticket orders and communicate with servers. Assist the server community with any needed condiments that our guests might request after food is delivered
  4. Follow health and safety procedures within your department (washing your hands often is showing personal excellence and required).
  5. Maintain excellent time keeping ensuring that you are present and ready for work as indicated on the schedule.
  6. Follow grooming standards, hair and uniform should be clean and well kept 
  7. Ability to work in a past-paced environment and as part of a team.

Dishwasher Position: Part-time . Great entry level position for anyone interested in culinary. 

 

Part-time applicants will be considered only if available Thursday's, Friday's, Saturday's and Sunday's.

- Must be available to work weekends and holidays (including Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Eve/Day). 
- Must be fluent and able to communicate effectively in English.
- Must be dependable and have a reliable means of transportation.
- Must adhere to the set standards of food quality and safety.
- Must participate in all areas of food production, preparation and any other kitchen related duties.

 

Duties include but not limited to: Dishwashing, cleaning, prep
